Requests here as we are told to do in James 5:16: “Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray one for another that you may be healed.”

Do you know that the first compound name that the Lord revealed to the Israelites after they came out of Egypt was Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals you? It was as if He was telling them, as they began their new life with Him, that He had already healed them of all the diseases and pains they suffered when they were in bondage in Egypt.

His warfare, we look at an aspect of Jesus’ prayer life - warfare, Life is a battle field. The Devil and his demons are always contending with believers. There are times the soul has to cry out to God and we have the assurance that God hears everything and is able to answer every cry.

1. Yet it teaches us that prayer is not always filled with sweet language and fine expressions. Many times prayer turns out to be a battle. We know that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood and that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal Ephesians 6:10-18; 2 Corinthians 10:4. In Luke 22:44, 42

2. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:6, 7, NIV).

3. If I were to live by sight instead of by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7), it would appear that the earth and my soul and everything else would be forever needing repairs. It doesn’t seem as if the consequences of Adam and Eve’s fall will ever be healed.

4. It is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being in Christ's family and being called by
his wonderful name! (1 Peter 4:16)

5. Successful relationships, the ones God intends for us to have, are peaceful and without trouble or anger. When we let him guide us in this area, everyone encourages each other and builds each other up in love. “Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another” (Romans 14:19).
